Now, moving into a new apartment requires so many different things you have to take care of and pay for. Electricity being one of them. Living in Arizona in the summer is really hot. Obviously. So most people are going to use the air conditioning more. Obviously.
Nope. Not us.
We could just be like everyone else and have a regular electric bill at the end of every month that we have to pay, but no. No, No, No. Not us.
When we went to get our electricity turned on we had an option. We could be normal like the rest of the world and have a regular electric bill, or get THE BOX.
I'm not sure what THE BOX is actually called, so that's why I call it THE BOX. Pretty much how it works is you go to the grocery store, yes the grocery store (certain ones) and buy power through a machine. They gave us these plastic cards, kinda like calling cards but for power...
So after you buy your power you bring it home and slide it in THE BOX. So this doesn't sound so bad right? Other then the fact that it's inconvenient, ghetto, and evil.
The main thing I don't like about THE BOX is the fact that you see how much money you spent that day, week, month..etc. So you know how much money you are wasting and it causes people to do crazy things like not turn on the air conditioning half the time in the summer in Arizona to save money. Not saying any names, but it's not me.
I would rather have a surprise bill at the end of the month and live a happy,
non-sweat inside life.
But marriage is about working together. Which is what we do. Each day we are together, only gets better and better. I can't wait to see where our future takes us. :)
Soooooo......
Tyson likes THE BOX.
I love Tyson.
Therefore, THE BOX is staying.

Happy One Month!
Happy one month anniversary to us!
We're living in the most amazing place in all the United States, (besides Hawaii) ARIZONA. We both wanted to eventually end up here in the next couple years, but fate took its course and this is where we get to start our lives together, and we are so excited!
We're in a little empty one bedroom apartment with nothing but our clothes, a mattress on the floor, one little fan, our neighbors Internet that we've been stealing, and a freezer full of otter pops. Ever since we got married we have been moving from one house to another, so it's nice to be settled in our own little place, even if there is nothing. We love it. :)
We just got our wedding pictures in the mail, which are amazing.
So here are some pictures of our wedding day, that is now all just a big blur to us.
Approximately 5 hours after the reception we were off to the airport to head to CANCUN! It was an early morning after a long day of wedding stuff, but the excitement of being in Mexico in just a few short hours kept us up and going. Until we got on the plane at least.
I wish I could say I have all these pictures to show you how perfect it was there, but I only have a few. Taking pictures wasn't a priority for me at the time.
We spent most of our time on the beach. Playing in the water, snorkeling, kayaking, and jet skiing on the resort. Mexico is really pretty if you stay on the resort grounds. We left one day to go on an excursion, and weren't sure if we were going to make it back alive. We went to Tulum, which are Mayan ruins. Let me tell you, it was about 500 degrees that day (maybe not really) and I was sure I was going to die. So we were getting a tour and RIGHT at the beginning something TERRIBLE happened.....
THE CAMERA DIED.
We didn't have our phones with us at the time either, and so those memories are gone. Forever. Well, until we can't remember them anymore. But it was really cool and right on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
So after that they took us on a scary white bus with a group full of people who spoke french (in Mexico?) into the jungle. We go to zip line, repel into a cave, and snorkel in underground Senotes. (Which in American are underground caves that people snorkel and scuba dive down into.)
I'm happy to say we made it back to America safe and in one piece. Well, two pieces. Because we are two separate people.
Anyways, our life isn't quite as exciting as it was a couple weeks ago, we spend the majority of our days laying in our living room watching netflix and eating otter pops. But I wouldn't ask for anything more right now. :)
MARRIED LIFE IS THE BEST.
The end.

(This is what it looked like, exactly. But this is someone else's memory..) |
