Birthday Wishes.

Well, it all started last Saturday night.
It was Tyson's birthday weekend.
We started if off by getting massages at Massage Envy that night.
They were wonderful.
We both wish that we were the type of people to go and get weekly massages, but we're not.
We decided we like getting massages from each other better anyways.
It's way more comfortable, being able to lay where you want not having your face smashed up against a "comfortable" face pillow for an hour while having a stranger rub you as you lay there helpless, unable to move or talk.

Okay, those last few sentences made it seem like I didn't enjoy it. I did. Really.

We then ventured off to find dessert. After many long minutes of narrowing down our choices we decided on Applebee's for the pizookie (warm chocolate chip cookie, with ice cream on top, and hot fudge) Luckily for us we made it there just in time for "Saturday Night Karaoke." We watched as person after person attempted to ruin any good song that was ever made. It was really entertaining though.

I don't know what was in that pizookie, but something amazing happened next. Tyson wanted to go up and sing. WHAT?? Yes. He went and signed up, and picked his song.

PART OF YOUR WORLD- THE LITTLE MERMAID

As I sat there and watched my husband sing his little heart out I couldn't have been more proud. He hit every low and high note right on key. It was beautiful...

Okay, so that story might have been a lie. But I wish it wasn't.
Maybe one day I can convince him to sing karaoke at Applebees, and when that day comes it will be great.

Wednesday (Birthday Day) rolled around. I had the day off of work, but birthday boy did not.
As soon as he got home he wanted to open presents and eat some cake!

Now let me tell you what else was that day. The Presidential Debates..I hate politics. And Tyson has all of a sudden become a political follower?! I guess that's what husbands are supposed to do. Well that is not a requirement for wives. I refuse to care. And can I just say Obama is not very good at speaking...? Okay, that's the only political thing I will ever say. Ever. So anyways, after that we got ready for dinner. Again, it was more long minutes of trying to choose where to go. Having two people who are married that both are super easy going and super indecisive can be tough sometimes. You know, like making big dinner decisions.

We ended up going with The Cheesecake Factory.
And it was wonderful.

I don't know why I have a hunchback..

And I don't know why we look so bad in these pictures either..

We left that night very full and very happy. It made us even more happy when we walked outside and it was still 90 degrees and perfect. With music playing and palm trees everywhere. :)
We love it here, and plan to stay FOREVER. Well at least I do.

Happy Days.

About a week ago our apartment went from this...

To this.. (Times 100)

Tyson's parents brought us all of our stuff in a trailer ALL the way from Washington, and we are SO happy we have places to sit, and dishes to eat on now! They helped us move most of our stuff in and unpack! We spent a couple days trying to unpack and find places for all of our stuff. We knew we were headed out of town later that week so we wanted to try and have it all done by then. Well, that didn't happen.

Wednesday morning came along and we got a call from his parents wondering if we wanted to come to Disneyland a day or two early. And well of course we said yes. So we packed our bags and headed to Disneyland that afternoon.

It's only about a 6 hour drive from where we live which isn't too bad right? Well, I've never liked sitting in a car for more then an hour at a time. My legs start hurting, I'm always thirsty, I'm either too hot or to cold, I get bored, and hungry. I can usually sing my way through any road trip if the right songs come on. But once I decide I don't want to be in the car any longer, I'm not much fun anymore. Tyson learned this about a month after we met when we went on a two week road trip together. So he is use to it. He let's me listen to my music (most of the time) and sings along with me, let's me get snacks at the gas station, and always pulls over whenever I need to stretch my legs. So really, I have nothing to complain about.

We got into Anaheim that night and woke up bright and early the next morning to start our vacation. Now, we weren't just going to Disneyland just to go. There was something haunting all of us the whole time we were there. We were all running a half marathon on Sunday morning..but I will get to that later.

We spent three wonderful days at Disneyland with his family, riding all the rides, eating good Disneyland food, and enjoying our time together :)

Saturday night rolled around we all started feeling sick to our stomach's because of what was going to happen the next morning. Now, about six months ago was right when I first met Tyson. I had heard they were all running the Disneyland Half-Marathon in September and invited me. I have never been much of a runner, at all. But I figured it would be fun. A couple people in his family had done it the year before so I figured it couldn't be that hard. So after Tyson and I started getting more serious we decided we were going to train for the race. Days went by, then weeks, and then months. Nothing. Before we knew it, it was the race day and we were not ready at all. Neither was his family so we were all pretty worried. The half marathon is timed and you have 3 1/2 hours to finish 13.1 miles. I've never ran 13.1 miles straight in my life. Ever.

The next morning was an early one. We all woke up at 3:30 and were our the door by 4:15 all pumped up and ready to run. NOT. Everyone had all there gear on and pockets full of energy shots, pills, and cubes. We got to Disneyland and each got in our corral's. There was A-G. Some of his family were in B, some in D and the rest in F. Each one took off five minutes apart. Tyson, his sister, her husband and I were all in F waiting to run.

We took of at 6:15 that morning, and that's when I realized there was no turning back. Tyson and I went off on our own and I was feeling pretty good the first couple miles. We were making good time and it was good! It was at about mile 4 where my body just did not want to go anymore. We would stop and walk for a little, and then jog. Back and forth. Over and over again. For some odd reason Tyson was all for running the whole thing and had endless amounts of energy the whole time. Not me. I was sure I was going to die. We came up with a technique where we would run from a certain sign or stoplight to another. I would get about half way and not be able to make it anymore. Many things were said such as "I'm going to throw up" "I'm going to die" "I can't breathe" "I can't move my legs" "I'm going to pass out" "I don't want to do this anymore" and so on...

Somehow I made it. Alive. I'm not sure how but I did. Along with the rest of his family! All in under 3 1/2 hours!

By the end of the race we were all sore and tired and just wanted to go back to sleep. We ended up going to Disneyland later that day for the rest of the night. We all limped through the park from ride to ride trying to enjoy our last day there.

The next morning was an early one again. We had met up with some friends of Tyson's a couple days back and he wanted to take Tyson out surfing Monday morning. We drove out to the beach to meet them there. Tyson got all geared up with his wetsuit and surfboard and went out into the water. He has never been surfing before in his life so I was excited to lay on the beach and watch him try:) After getting pounded by waves over and over again he called it quits and joined me on the beach. We hung out on the beach for a couple hours and then headed into LA.

We met up with one of Tyson's friends from his mission and his sister to have lunch. Since they went to South Korea on their missions, we had Korean food. I've never had it before, so I didn't really know what to expect. We went to a place called Ode San. They brought us endless amounts of meat to grill and small bowls of different Korean dishes. It was a ton of food and surprisingly good. :)

We headed back home after that, ready to go back to reality.

We're still sore, and still haven't unpacked all of our stuff. But it's okay, because we have a place to call home.

THE BOX.

Now, moving into a new apartment requires so many different things you have to take care of and pay for. Electricity being one of them. Living in Arizona in the summer is really hot. Obviously. So most people are going to use the air conditioning more. Obviously.

Nope. Not us.

We could just be like everyone else and have a regular electric bill at the end of every month that we have to pay, but no. No, No, No. Not us.

When we went to get our electricity turned on we had an option. We could be normal like the rest of the world and have a regular electric bill, or get THE BOX.

I'm not sure what THE BOX is actually called, so that's why I call it THE BOX. Pretty much how it works is you go to the grocery store, yes the grocery store (certain ones) and buy power through a machine. They gave us these plastic cards, kinda like calling cards but for power...

So after you buy your power you bring it home and slide it in THE BOX. So this doesn't sound so bad right? Other then the fact that it's inconvenient, ghetto, and evil.

The main thing I don't like about THE BOX is the fact that you see how much money you spent that day, week, month..etc. So you know how much money you are wasting and it causes people to do crazy things like not turn on the air conditioning half the time in the summer in Arizona to save money. Not saying any names, but it's not me.

I would rather have a surprise bill at the end of the month and live a happy,
non-sweat inside life.

But marriage is about working together. Which is what we do. Each day we are together, only gets better and better. I can't wait to see where our future takes us. :)

Soooooo......

Tyson likes THE BOX.
I love Tyson.
Therefore, THE BOX is staying.

Happy One Month!

Happy one month anniversary to us!

We're living in the most amazing place in all the United States, (besides Hawaii) ARIZONA. We both wanted to eventually end up here in the next couple years, but fate took its course and this is where we get to start our lives together, and we are so excited!

We're in a little empty one bedroom apartment with nothing but our clothes, a mattress on the floor, one little fan, our neighbors Internet that we've been stealing, and a freezer full of otter pops. Ever since we got married we have been moving from one house to another, so it's nice to be settled in our own little place, even if there is nothing. We love it. :)

We just got our wedding pictures in the mail, which are amazing.
So here are some pictures of our wedding day, that is now all just a big blur to us.

Approximately 5 hours after the reception we were off to the airport to head to CANCUN! It was an early morning after a long day of wedding stuff, but the excitement of being in Mexico in just a few short hours kept us up and going. Until we got on the plane at least.

I wish I could say I have all these pictures to show you how perfect it was there, but I only have a few. Taking pictures wasn't a priority for me at the time.

Dinner on the beach :)

We spent most of our time on the beach. Playing in the water, snorkeling, kayaking, and jet skiing on the resort. Mexico is really pretty if you stay on the resort grounds. We left one day to go on an excursion, and weren't sure if we were going to make it back alive. We went to Tulum, which are Mayan ruins. Let me tell you, it was about 500 degrees that day (maybe not really) and I was sure I was going to die. So we were getting a tour and RIGHT at the beginning something TERRIBLE happened.....

THE CAMERA DIED.

We didn't have our phones with us at the time either, and so those memories are gone. Forever. Well, until we can't remember them anymore. But it was really cool and right on a cliff overlooking the ocean.

(This is what it looked like, exactly. But this is someone else's memory..)

So after that they took us on a scary white bus with a group full of people who spoke french (in Mexico?) into the jungle. We go to zip line, repel into a cave, and snorkel in underground Senotes. (Which in American are underground caves that people snorkel and scuba dive down into.)

I'm happy to say we made it back to America safe and in one piece. Well, two pieces. Because we are two separate people.

Anyways, our life isn't quite as exciting as it was a couple weeks ago, we spend the majority of our days laying in our living room watching netflix and eating otter pops. But I wouldn't ask for anything more right now. :)

MARRIED LIFE IS THE BEST.

The end.
